Episode 62 - The Dropout's Hidden Power Episode Summary

Episode Summary for Episode 62 - The Dropout's Hidden Power. Written by J'Jay
Naruto vs. Neji, such a long fight that will soon come to an end! After Neji had thrown insult after insult at Naruto, Naruto was sick of it. Neji blocked a couple moves that Naruto threw, and he just got bored of it. Neji then succesfully hit Naruto with his 64 palms and shut off all Naruto's chakra, but that didn't mean that Naruto was going to give up. Naruto released the fox demon's chakra that had held up in him since he was born. After Neji thought he had beaten Naruto, Naruto attacked, probably the only succesful hit that Naruto had thrown. Naruto had great speed, great fighting skills, and a hech of a left hook that didn't let Neji move, and Naruto had then pulled off the victory. The Next match, Gaara vs.Sasuke(sasuke is my favorite, he's just the best), But where is Sasuke, will he be disqualified, you'll see!

Neji confidently guarantees that Naruto will lose to him in this match. Naruto retorts that fate does not dictate one’s outcome. Neji then strikes Naruto hard, and he drops to the ground. Wearily, Naruto refuses to stay down or take back his words, giving Neji a sense of deja vu as he reiterates Hinata’s last words in the match. Naruto continues - a coward blames everything on fate. Neji tells him he knows nothing. People are born carrying an unchanging fate.

Still, Neji remembers the last words of his father, who told him to live and to continue training. He was more talented than any other Hyuuga. As he continues, Naruto focuses on unleashing Kyubi’s powers. He assures Neji he knows what it’s like to suffer and want someone to acknowledge you. Hinata fought for that very reason. In fact, Naruto is certain that Neji’s reasons for fighting full force with Hinata lie in that he was also fighting his own fate.

Again, Naruto concentrates, remembering a similar feeling of chakra absence during Jiraiya’s training. The fox awakens and soon, the nine tails unleashes a powerful flow of orange-red chakra that surrounds Naruto in Super Saiyan style. After powering up, Naruto attacks.

The two opponents fight hard. Neji uses his defense whirl while Naruto tosses shurikans. They then fight with kunai on equal footing. Naruto then charges Neji at full force. He vows he will become Hokage. Saying something is impossible without trying to accomplish it leads nowhere. Once he becomes the Hokage, he will change the Hyuuga fate. As Naruto and Neji collide, a huge explosion rocks the building. When the smoke clears, Neji pulls himself out of the hole created and to his feet to investigate an unconscious Naruto lying in the other ditch. TenTen explains that Nehi’s whirl works by rotating his body and parrying his enemy’s attack. Since he charged in head on, it appears that Naruto suffered more damage. Everyone is impressed with the effort Naruto put into the match, but Neji appears to be victorious.

As Neji gets in one last word about how fate controls one’s destiny, the real Naruto pulls himself out of the ground and uppercuts him to end the match. Neji understands now. The Naruto lying motionless was only a clone that Naruto used to disguise his plan to dig his way to victory. Gemma is impressed. Naruto was clearly beaten, but he believed in himself and in his ability to win, so he kept thinking of a next move. The power to believe in himself is what changes fate.

Neji lies beaten before a victorious Naruto. He finds it ironic that he was beaten by Naruto’s favorite technique - Kage Bunshin. Naruto explains that he failed 3 times at the academy because they consistently made him perform the technique he most sucked at. Now that he can do it well, he does and enjoys it. He then tells Neji to stop bitching about his own fate and do something to change it. He’s different from Naruto - he’s not a dropout.

Gemma calls the match: Naruto wins!

Naruto had been underestimated by Neji, who's constantly babbling on about 'fate'. Naruto soon remembers Jiraiya's words, of when calling up on the Kyubi for help when Naruto's life is in danger, so he does that. He surprises many people from the audience with his awesome, incredible chakra. When Neji and Naruto clash into eachother for the blow, it seem as though Neji won, since 'Naruto' was on the ground as if he was unconcious. Letting his guard down, Neji is then struck with a punch up in the chin by Naruto. Yes, it was a Bunshin that was lying on the ground. And so, Neji got knocked to the ground, his body unable to move at all. Naruto then gives him a lecture, and being the good person he is, is said to Neji that he was different than him, and was NOT A DROPOUT. Then the sun zooms into Neji's face brightening the mood somewhat, and Genma announces Naruto winner of the match, and the audience goes wild!

Dayam, dis episode iz off da heezee. Naruto is insulted by Neji (yes, iast years top rookie). He gets mad and keeps charging after him and keeps falling to the ground. Neji, keeps saying that it's over. Naruto still keeps getting up though. He den taps into his fox powers dat he learned from the pervert hermit. From this point on, he starts to glow and kicks some white eyed ass. Neji does his spinning defense technique and Naruto does dbz moves and stuff. They collide and fall to the ground. Neji gets up to see Naruto on the floor. Naruto catches Neji off gaurd and does the famous "Shoryuken!!!" He caught him off gaurd with the Kage Bunshin, the Naruto that fainted was a fake. 3 episodes is a LONG time for a match. I think so anyway. It was worth it tho. This is the final match in the trilogy of Neji vs. Naruto, and it is siiiiick. After the smoke clears, and the dust settles, Naruto delivers the uppercut and gives Neji the meanest shot to the chin, signifying his victory. Great episode, great special effects/cgi work w/ the anime, it's something you have to see to believe.
